My choice for Emraan Hashmi films

Emraan Hashmi is popularly as Kisser Boy of Bollywood or the Serial Kisser of Indian Cinema. Most of the Emraan Hashmi Movies are famous for his kissing scenes. While youth like his movies, the elderly people of society look at him down upon. In spite of all this he has bagged hit films at box office.

1. Murder- Released in 2004, Anurag Basu’s this film established the actor as a Superstar. It’s an erotic thriller film. Mallika Sherawat has been casted opposite Hashmi. It was a super hit at Box office. The story of the film is based on extra marital affair between Simran (Mallika) and Sunny (Hasmi), and a husband Sudhir (Ashmit Patel)’s confrontation with his rival. For the film he was nominated for the Screen Awards for Best Villain.

2. Jannat - Kunal Deshmukh’s movie released in 2008. It’s a crime romance film. The film received positive response worldwide and eventually became a super hit. It’s an engrossing, touching tale of an intuitively gifted bookie Arjun (Hashmi) who loses his love Zoya (Sonal Chauhan) in pursuit of his idea of heaven. It’s a film on cricket match-fixing with ample incidents and characters from real life squeezed in the narrative to give the movie a semblance of realism.


3. Once Upon A Time In Mumbai - A period gangster film by Milan Luthria released in 2010.The film received mixed response on Box office and declared a hit. The film depicts the gangsters of ‘70s.The story revolves round the don Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan) who ruled the city. It depicts his rise and reign over the city and his tempestuous relationship with his biggest fan-turned-foe, Shoaib khan (Hashmi) who joins him as a gangster, only to outplay him and take over his empire. He has been nominated for many awards for the film like the Stardust Award for Best Actor in an Ensemble Cast, Filmfare Award, Zee Cine Award, IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Award for Best Villain etc.

4. Gangster - Director Anurag Basu again casted him in his crime thriller in 2006.For the film he has been nominated for Filmfare Awards and IIFA Awards for Best performance in a negative role. In the film he portrayed the role of and undercover detective.

5. Murder 2 - Director Mohit Suri’s film is quasi-sequel of Murder. The psychological thriller released in 2011.The Actor played the role of a former police officer in the movie and has been nominated for Best Actor Thriller/Action at Stardust Awards and Best Actor in a Lead Role at Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards.
