Cricket Presenter - Who is your favourite ?

This is not at all new when India tour New Zealand and I fix the alarm at 3.00 AM so that I can see the match. So this time also for ongoing test series I fixed the alram at such time. Woke up, brushed teeth, make a two cup of tea (nope no one is there except me, just to avoid to make again) and seat in front of television and searched for Set Max.

As the telecast start I saw Charu Sharma and Arun Lal ... boy what a terrible presentation with lots of Aaaa ... yes ... you are right again Aaaaaa ... at that moment one thing strike to me ... I wish Harsha should be here to present this series. I am die hard fan of Harsha (I am sure you guys are also) and the way he explain everything without breaking a single word, his sense of humour and great chemistry with his fellow presenter made TV shows more livelly and treat to watch. Their Co Presenter are also great cricketer like Sunny, Ravi, Wasim and others, not like Arun Lal, Atul Wasan, Nikhil Chopra.

But I think new presenter Mr. Radhakrishnan Sreenivasan of Neo Sports is also doing a great job and forced people to watch his shows with some intelligent and spot question.

How Daniel Vettori will tackle Indian Runs Machine ?

In One Day International Indian batsman shows what they are capable of and in test matches two more run machines will be added in the Indian Team Squad and they are Rahul Drvaid and VVS Laxman.

Now I am thinking how Daniel Vettori is going to tackle them. There is top 7 batsman of the world and any one of them settled in the crease can demolish New Zealand bowling attack. This is really bad time for Daniel Vettori as in past no team have come here in New Zealand with such confidence and start the searies of test match with bang in One Day International by 3 - 1.

If Daniel Vettori will look at the batting line up of Indian cricket team than ceratinly after the fall of seventh wicket he can relax himself. But even at the seventh position we have our very own Bhajji Paa Jee ...

Sourav Ganguly a Captain who changed the mentality of his players

Sourav Ganguly ...

• A man who knows how to swim against the wave/current.
• A man who knows how to show his aggression.
• A man who knows how to nourish young players.
• A man who knows how to fought back.
• A man who is not afraid of controversy.
• A man who took India to the final of Cricket world cup.
• He is only one man and one leader ... he is Sourav Ganguly.

• Our DADA.
  

Its really emotional to me as well when I am writing this because I do believe that changes in Indian cricket and Indian cricket team starts from Sourav Ganguly's era and now Mahi (Mahednra Singh Dhoni) is giving a final and more beautiful touch to this.

Under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly –

• Indian players learn how to give back with interest to the opponents.
• We saw that so many young talents (Virendra Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Kaif, Irfan Pathan and many more) nourished and not only he nourished them but he protect them and always push them to give their best.
• Indian team started to win abroad and proved that India can win test matches against Australia in Australia and against Pakistan in Pakistan as well.
• His determination to come back to the Indian team and also proved once again himself showing how tough he is mentally. His pepsi ads showing all thing “Bhule to nahi hai naa.”
• His shirt waving in lords and kept Steve Waugh waiting for toss makes him a negative character in the eyes of England and Australian media.
  

Whatever media told about Sourav Ganguly but one thing is very clear that he played the cricket as per his will and retiring as per his will as well.

Just a short comments which I have read a long ago –

“On the offside, there is God, then there is Ganguly”

Anil Kumble announce retirement from Cricket

Anil Kumble most respected and successful bowler from India announce retirement today and ongoing 3rd test match against Australia (2008 Australia tour of India) will be Anil Kumble's last match.

Anil Kumble announced retirement at the place where he took 10 wickests in an innings against Pakistan and this is Kotla. This was certainly a shocking decision but as he told that "body gave the decision".

Its really nice to see that people are taking decision of retirment without being burden to the Indian cricket team.

Anil Kumble was a great server of Indian Cricket.

We will miss you Jumbo.

Never gave up attitude

11th May 2002, Kumble's jaw was injured by West Indies fast bowler Mervyn Dillon but Anil Kumble has shown amazing determination and came on ground with a bandage around his jaw. On 3rd day of the match after tea break, Anil Kumble came to bowl and in the third ball of his 51st over Kumble strikes and dismissed world-beater Brian Lara during India's tour of West Indies, 2001/02, 4th Test in Antigua.

Krishnamachari Srikanth unique player and unique human being. No comparison for him, childish by the heart and tough by brain. Even after so many years after of his retirement from cricket you will find Krishnamachari Srikanth as same enthusiastic person when it come to the matter

So far we have seen so many Chairman of the National Selection committee but Krishnamachari Srikanth is awesome.

I never seen any chairman who cherished the win with the captain of the team like his team member on the ground (when Mahendra Singh Dhoni returning from the ground after win of 2nd test 2008 against Australia, Krishnamachari Srikanth was near boundry line and act like he is the team member of Dhoni), I never seen any chairman who seat with the reserved player near boundary line and share jokes (in 3rd test Australia Vs India 2008, Krishnamachari Srikanth was seating with R P Singh and was sharing jokes and having good time).

So he is our Krishnamachari Srikanth aka Krish, ground to earth and lively person. Krish we love you man.

Movie on Hansie to be release on 24th September

Frans Cronje brother of Hansie Cronje told that movie on the life of Hansie Cronje is ready and will be release on 24th September in Africa. Hansie picturised in South Africa, England and India. According to Frans, Hansie broke down when he accepted his part in match fixing in front of King Commission enquiry. At that time with Hansie’s father and Frans were also crying for him. That was really tough periods for the Cronje family. Shooting this scene was really painful for Frans as he have to live again in that pain again


Frans had tough period when American base company withdraw his name for the financer but with the help of some capable businessman this movie now completed. Francois Rautenbach, A South African will play the role of Hansie Cronje. Both Cricket South Africa and International Cricket Council give the positive node for this movie. Other Cricket Star like Allan Donald, Jonty Rhodes will also play the role in this movie.


Hansie Cronje was the most impressive captain of his era and he always played cricket with his mind and remaining very calm even in crunch situation. Every Cricket fan and cricket world shocked when they heard Hansie involvement in match fixing in 2000 years. He got the respect as best captain from all around the world. Peter Pollock played an important role in the life of Hansie as he give him the strength to live after this but in 2002 Hansie Cronje died in a cargo plane crash in 2002.


I am really looking forward for this movie. Honestly speaking I am still respect Hansie Cronje. I do not know what was the reasons because of which he get involved in match fixing (which was not at all acceptable) but however my heart respect him …

India and Sri Lanka 2008 - Day 2 Review

So finally India in the position from where they can dominate this test and equal the series. This was all round performance by ball and bat. If Bhajji show his spin talent to Mendis than Sehwag and Gautam show their batting talent to Jayawardene and Warnapura.

This was really pleasing when India shows to Sri Lanka that they are still the master in spin bowling as Harbhajan and Kumble took six and three wickets respectively.

When Gautam and Sehwag came to the crease for 2nd Innings they have come with the target and they achieved it smoothly. Gautam and Sehwag give India a solid start in the second innings and their this inning will be milestone if India win this match.

At the stump India were 200/4 and two new batsman Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman were at the crease without scoring. Tomorrow will be important day for this test match and this day will give the final shape of this test match.

Ashok Mankad - Former Indian Cricketer Died

Ashok Mankad (12.10.1946 - 01.08.2008), former Indian test batsman died. He was 62 years of age and played for India in 62 tests with the score of 991 runs.

Ashok Mankad was selected to played against New Zealand in 1969 - 70 but in that series he dropped and later on selected for the series against Australia which was a successful series for him.

Ashok Mankad was the son of Vinoo Mankad who also played for India.
