August 16 Crucial Day for Indian Boxing

16th August is really an important day for boxer Jitender Kumar and boxer Vijender Kumar.

Boxer Jitender Kumar - 20 years of age from India. For Jitender Kumar first fight was easy as the opponent boxer Memis of Turkey retired and Jitender Kumar advanced to Round of 16. On the round of 16 Jitender Kumar will fight with Tulashboy Doniyorov of Uzbekistan. Tulashboy reached upto quarterfinal in the 2004 olympic.

Jitender Kumar is bronze medalist in the flyweight category in 2006 Commonwealth Games and qualified to Beijing 2008 Olympics.

In the round of 32 Angkhan Chomphuphuang beat Cho Deok-Jin of South Korea by 9:3

Vijender Kumar is the Silver medalist in 2006 Commonwealth Games Melbourne in the Welterweight 69kg category.
